Friends

I shot a group of friends that are close. One is graduating early and headed to college. It was fun to shoo them. It brought back a lot of high school memories.:)

Friends really do play such an important role during those years.

What another great family. I have gotten to know this family over the past year or so, and they are one awesome and FUN family. Their son is one of my son's best friends. We had such a fun shoot, they were so fun and loved doing the "serious" pictures, but wanted to be silly as well.

The mom just kept saying how she just wanted pictures of everyone, as her children get older this might be one of their last family pics all together.

They are a beautiful family.

Photography Tip: I usually prefer sitting poses (especially with a large family) but if you shoot a family standing, have people do different things with their arms, legs, body. Crossed arms, hands in pockets, have someone leaning against another person, have arms around a couple people, etc. Standing pics tend to look "stiff" in my opinion, but there are ways to make it look more "intimate".

The clouds were rolling in during this photo shoot and the wind started to get stronger (and colder). We shot fast. :)

This is another beautiful family that we love very much. We have seen their family grown from three kids to five and they are adorable.

We don't get to see them as often as we used to, but whenever we get together it's like we see each other every day and they are definitely in our "dear friends" category.

I loved the mustard color they chose...mustard is another color that I find photographs really well.

Photography EDITING Tip:
I have recently learned how to "swap heads". This has come in very handy, especially with kids faces.

We have loved getting to know this family. We adore them and they live right around the corner.

I am not gonna lie, this shoot was a little difficult. These two twin little ones were on the run most of the shoot. We all did our best to make them still long enough to shoot something....

But aren't their kids adorable!!!?

We made the best out of the situation and the parents were so laid back.

It turned out great.

Another great family. (I feel like a broken record saying that all the time here.)

This was a special shoot - the oldest girl is leaving for a LDS Mission for 2 years in a week. It was fun to capture these last moments before she leaves.

We shot at their house - they had lot's of trees and open space.

Beautiful family.

This family is dear to our hearts. They are our neighbors and we have seen their boys (all 5!!!) grow up. They are good people and I was honored that they asked me to shoot them.

Those boys definitely have a special connection with each other, and it was exciting to see.

But my favorite thing to watch is their mom. She is a dear friend and I admire her so much for how she is as a person and how she is as a mother to those boys.

At one point during the shoot I watched her watching her boys...her face had so much joy and happiness seeing all her boys together, perhaps only another mother could recognize that joy.

The leaves were a beautiful golden yellow. It was a great shoot!
