The air is changing to cooler weather lately.

I can see the leaves changing color as well on all the trees. 

Another great family to shoot. 

boys boys boys.....

This family are my neighbors. They are a beautiful family. We shot in their backyard. They have lot's of boys in their immediate and extended family. 

It was a tricky shoot with so many people and so many little kids. But I was honored to spend the evening with this beautiful family.

I love that the women wore traditional Indian wear.

Love this cute family. I can always count on a phone call from the mom (my friend) about every other year to set up family pictures. I love how important pictures are to her and her darling family. I loved the colors she chose for her family. Blues and pinks and yellows photograph so well. 

Photography Tip: Some families don't like to sit on the ground so when you know you are shooting little kids, bring a tall stool or chair. It looks better in pictures when the family is standing and the little kids are close to my eye level.  Stick the kids on the stool and ta-dah!

 

newborns

I must admit, shooting newborns isn't something I am totally comfortable shooting...yet. 

However, I do love it when I have the opportunity to shoot such special little ones. This little one was perfect. He was so calm and easy. I loved seeing him and his mother interact.

With this shoot, I tried extra lighting from a lighting kit and umbrellas. I loved how they turned out. They look soft and dreamy, which is what the look I was going for.

red brick

Loved shooting this family. (I say this about every shoot, but it's true!) They had a perfect setting at their house for a shoot. The front of their house was perfect...red brick is hard to find around here, so I was excited to shoot at their beautiful home. They were relaxed and low key and a lot of fun.
